An extensive two-month journey through the Land Down Under is being halted days after the death of an elderly female passenger who was stranded by the cruise liner on a remote island.

The elderly woman had been walking on the tropical location with fellow passengers from the cruise ship, but separated from the party for a break. The liner left without her and went back after some time after the personnel discovered the passenger was unaccounted for.

A major hunt located her remains the subsequent day.

Officials are investigating the incident, together with police and the state coroner.

Chief Executive of the voyage organizer stated that guests and staff on the Coral Adventurer were informed that the remainder of the journey had been called off due to the "unfortunate death and previous engine troubles".
